Happy Birthday Nancy!

For my mom’s birthday in April, her only desire was to have family portraits done. After two months of hammering out the details (photographer, location, wardrobe), we met over Memorial Day weekend at the Huntington Hacienda (aka mom and dad’s house) to make it happen!

You can see that we skew heavy to the males on this side of the family--

And of course, a manly-man shot is requisite--

Happy Birthday mom! We have to say, we were prepared to endure it all and it turned out to be soooo fun! We love you!

This Just In!

Read in The Signal, Santa Clarita’s newspaper on 6/9/10:

“City [not ours, by the way] mulls crackdown on peacock population…Roaming peacocks are ruffling feathers in an exclusive estate where city leaders are considering toughening measures to control them.  Residents…are complaining that the peacock population is a nuisance, with droppings and raucous calls.”

nancy-195I guess we’ll have to keep our heads low until this all blows over.

My Basketball Crush

Sorry honey, I (and Grandma Virginia) do have a crush on this man…

derek-fisher-emotional-060810-200 "I got a bit emotional in my postgame interview right after the game just because I love what I do, and I love helping my team win,'' Fisher said. "Even when things maybe aren't going the way I'd like them to go for reasons I can control and some I can't, I still pretty much kept my mouth shut and just keep doing my job, and remain faithful that things will come around. And so to come through (Tuesday) again for this team, 14 years (into his career) after so many great moments, it's always quite surreal and quite humbling to experience it again.''
