So much to catch up. Momentous events coming fast and furious, hardly time to enjoy/recover from one and another is upon us!
Dateline: March 26th, Tyler’s Eagle Court of Honor
(Note the wizard behind the curtain:)
We were very grateful to have both sets of grandparents with us for the event, including the grand dame herself,(Great-)Grandma Virginia. Thank goodness for Grandpa Bruce who salvaged the audio visuals!
As always, our friends the Hoskins are with us through thick and thin. How is it that Daleen can always anticipate every need that I have when putting on one of these events? In return, Aliza has decided to adopt all of our grandmothers as her own—and is planning her vacation at the Huntington Hacienda…
Bryce led the color guard, Scoutmaster CPayne conferred the honor, and Tyler “pinned” Jeff and I.
Grandmas Joyce, Virginia & Nancy
Brotherly Love
G.G. Virginia loves him best because he looks like her:)
Some of the nice things I said about Tyler in his intro:
“He is trustworthy. If he says he’ll do something, he does it. Take schoolwork, for instance, Tyler is an exceptional student. He knows what he needs to do and he does it. He might be up until 3 am to finish it, but he does it.
“He is independent. He likes to figure out things on his own. He never needs my help, but sometimes I impose it on him anyway, just to make myself feel useful
“He is loyal. He will not tolerate if someone is critical of a friend, and will call you on it. He’s also the first in line to cheerfully help someone in need.
“He is thrifty. He doesn’t waste his money, but is very purposeful in setting goals. He’s saved money to purchase a bike, a camera, a computer. It’s often hard to surprise him with a big gift because he’s usually saved money and purchased it himself.”
